Post election era

Well, what's happened after the election is interesting. Obama became president, and met with George Bush. He has gotten he and his family have gotten their code names, as has Biden. Obama's code name is Renegade. (What is the point of having a code name if everyone knows it?)

Palin has been attacking McCain's campaign, and trying to bat back many of the rumors that have spread about her.

Ted Stevens has been reelected and faces seven charges of corruption, and 35 years in jail.

Victory

Well Obama won. VE day, or victory election day(nice pun). I know, I know, the Obama won a week ago, but still, I'm happy. I still think we shouldn't have to wait until November to take office. Still Obama won 365(number of days in a year) to 162, and 52.6% of the popular vote to 46.1% of the popular vote. McCain looked pretty sad.

It was a good night for the democrats, who ended up winning 6 seats in the senate and 20 seats in the house. Not enough to defeat a filibusterr, but still a decent gain.

Nice election

Ads

Well, we haven't seen many political ads in New Jersey. Mainly because New Jersey is such a strong Democrat state. Anyhow, it seems both candidates are showing more ads in this final stretch of the race.
Obama went as far as to show a thirty minute infomercial on almost all the television stations. It was well made, and had a nice touch of music to make the whole thing more dramatic than it really was. The problem is, many people are getting sick of this election. This ad might not have helped as much as it was supposed to.
Anyway, there have been many great ads. Has anyone see Lydon Johnson's Daisy Girl commercial? It would probably work on McCain.
